PREMIUM 80D NON-STRETCH CORSET MESH

This premium 80D nylon corset mesh is designed for structured, sheer garment construction. It offers more support and better shape retention than lightweight soft corset mesh while remaining breathable, transparent and relatively lightweight.

Made from 100% nylon with no spandex or elastane, this fabric has no true stretch. It may have a very slight amount of natural mechanical give, but it does not stretch like power mesh.

This 80D mesh is firmer and more supportive than our lightweight 20D corset mesh. It is a good choice when structure and shape retention are more important than maximum softness.

Please note that the fabric is sheer. The final level of transparency will depend on the number of layers, lining, lighting and the wearer’s skin tone.

Multiple yards will be cut as one continuous piece whenever available. Colors may appear slightly different depending on your monitor and lighting. We recommend ordering a sample when matching a specific color.

IS THIS FABRIC STRETCHY?
No. This fabric is non-stretch and does not contain spandex or elastane. It may have minimal natural mechanical give, but it does not stretch like power mesh.

Yes. It is designed for sheer corsets, bustiers, corset dresses and structured bodices. The number of layers and additional reinforcement required will depend on your pattern and intended level of waist reduction.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 80D AND 20D CORSET MESH?
The 80D mesh is stronger, more structured and holds its shape better. The 20D mesh is lighter, softer and more delicate.

DOES IT FRAY?
The mesh generally does not fray like ordinary woven fabric, but cut edges should still be finished appropriately for the garment construction.

WHAT NEEDLE SHOULD I USE?
A new Universal or Microtex needle in size 70/10 or 80/12 is a good starting point. Always test the needle, stitch length and tension on a scrap first.
